For a 2026 RANGER windshield, first separate RANGER 1000/XP 1000 from SP 570, XD 1500 and other cab families. Then select an exact panel part number and check its roof, mirror, wiper and seating-version dependencies. “Fits RANGER” is too broad to place a reliable order.
This guide uses documented U.S. RANGER 1000 and XP 1000 examples from the 2026 accessory catalog. It is an application-checking guide, not a hands-on installation or an independent comparison of optical quality.
Shortlist the panel by its documented design
| Catalog panel | Part number | Application-check question |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed full glass, clear | 2891680 | Does the current application include your exact 1000/XP/CREW year and existing roof? |
| Tip-out full glass | 2889020 | Can every permitted position clear the roof, mirrors and mounts? |
| Full vented hard-coat poly | 2883266 | Have you included bracket 2207624 if using the listed wiper system? |
| Full hard-coat poly | 2883300 | Is the non-vented arrangement appropriate, and is the wiper mounting kit included if needed? |
| Half poly | 2883301 | Is the reduced coverage suitable for the conditions you actually use? |
The printed application lines include multiple years and seating versions, but the panel must still match the complete vehicle. A compatible front panel does not prove that a three-seat roof, rear doors or heater adapter fits a CREW. Current part supersessions also need confirmation.

Check a concrete accessory exclusion
The mirror listing excludes the ROPS-mounted mirror 2889243 with tip-out windshield 2889020, doors, or a unit with a forward grip handle on the ROPS. This is why selecting each accessory independently can produce an incompatible build even when each advertisement mentions RANGER.
Before buying, send the seller a single equipment list: vehicle year and full designation; roof, windshield, mirror and door part numbers; any forward handle or light mount; and the desired wiper. Ask for written confirmation of the combination, including any replacement or relocation needed.
Separate a wiper-ready panel from a complete wiper installation
The catalog identifies wiper/washer system 2883974 and requires mounting kit 2207624 for the listed hard-coat poly windshields 2883266 and 2883300. That is a documented application for those components, not permission to drill another plastic panel or add an arbitrary motor.
Include the installation instructions, reservoir location, approved wiring/harness and all required mounting parts in the quote. If the selected panel’s maker does not authorize the wiper application, choose a documented compatible combination instead. The wiper guide explains the checks in more detail.
Evaluate dust and weather as a cab-system question
The same catalog recommends a rear panel to reduce dust swirl behind a roof-and-windshield cab. It does not provide a universal dust-reduction percentage. Doors, openings, ventilation, seals and the route also affect the result. Use the rear-panel dust worksheet to identify what actually changes.
A fixed full panel may suit your enclosure plan, while a vented or tip-out design may offer a useful permitted airflow position. Do not drive in an unsupported position or assume a gas strut can substitute for a transport latch.
Finish with a matched quote and transport check
Get an itemized price for the exact panel, mandatory hardware, planned wiper, any accessory changes, delivery and installation. The catalog does not establish a current delivered price for every part. Keep that uncertainty visible instead of comparing a bare panel price with a complete system.
Check both the vehicle’s and the accessory’s transport instructions. The RANGER 1000 manual has a forward-facing/open-trailer roof requirement; an aftermarket windshield may add restrictions. Resolve these before loading, not after the first loose-panel problem.
Use the broader windshield selection guide if the material choice is still open, or visit the RANGER research center for engine, seating and maintenance decisions.
