The 2026 Sportsman Touring 570 Premium is the designated two-place choice in this comparison; the Sportsman 570 EPS is a one-place ATV. A rack-mounted seat or storage box does not turn the single-rider model into the Touring. Start with the number of approved occupants, then compare size and equipment.
These are specific U.S. 2026 configurations, not every Sportsman 570. The 2026 Sportsman catalog tables separate Touring trims from standard models. Touring 570 base, Premium and Ultimate also have different listed equipment and some dimensional differences.
The exact EPS and Touring Premium comparison
| Published specification | 2026 Sportsman 570 EPS | 2026 Sportsman Touring 570 Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Engine displacement | 567 cc | 567 cc |
| Published engine power | 44 hp | 44 hp |
| Seating capacity | 1 | 2 |
| Overall length | 83 in | 91 in |
| Overall width | 48 in | 48 in |
| Overall height | 47 in | 59 in |
| Ground clearance | 11.5 in | 11.5 in |
| Front suspension travel | 8.2 in | 8.2 in |
| Rear suspension travel | 9.5 in | 9.5 in |
| Front rack rating | 90 lb | 90 lb |
| Rear rack rating | 180 lb | 180 lb |
| Towing rating | 1350 lb | 1350 lb |
The Touring Premium’s extra listed length is eight inches, while both table entries list 48-inch width. The 59-inch Touring height should be retained as the complete published envelope; do not substitute the single-rider model’s 47-inch height for garage or enclosed-trailer planning.

Test passenger suitability with the actual machine
Have the intended rider and passenger check the correct seating, foot placement and handholds under the manufacturer’s requirements. Two designated places do not mean that any passenger fits. The operator must also follow the specific two-up instructions and training requirements.
If a seller offers a single-place 570 with an add-on rear seat, ask for the vehicle manufacturer’s approval rather than accepting an accessory’s shape as evidence. Our two-up versus cargo-seat guide explains that distinction without pretending a generic backrest changes the vehicle’s designation.
Shared rack numbers are not another passenger allowance
The 90-pound front and 180-pound rear rack ratings in this comparison apply to cargo loading under the vehicle’s instructions. They are not seat ratings. The rack, total vehicle load and any towing restrictions all still apply.
Before selecting a large rear box, record its empty weight, mounting hardware and contents. A tall box may also interfere with a passenger or required handholds. Check the actual layout with all the intended equipment in place; do not assume that more storage volume means more permissible cargo weight.
Compare a complete trim, not just engine output
Both named vehicles list the same 567 cc engine displacement and manufacturer-rated 44 hp. That does not make their seating arrangements interchangeable. The Touring Premium catalog also lists equipment such as a winch and its passenger arrangement that must be accounted for in an equipment-matched quote.
A Touring base price is not a Touring Premium quote, and a Premium photograph should not represent an EPS offer without explanation. Require the exact trim, model year, fitted accessories, delivery/setup and applicable quoted tax in writing.
A practical shortlist
Start with the one-place EPS when you genuinely need one approved place and its configuration suits the work. Start with Touring Premium when a second approved place is needed and the actual occupants, cargo plan and measured transport setup are compatible. If the task regularly exceeds those restrictions, reconsider the transport arrangement rather than improvising a seat or load increase.
We have not measured two-up comfort or compared reliability. Open the exact pair in the specification tool, then use the ATV rack-load worksheet to record the equipment you intend to carry.
