For the U.S. 2026 Yamaha Wolverine RMAX2 1000 trims checked here, Yamaha lists nominal 30 × 10-14 tires front and rear, with different tire products by trim. The Sport and XT-R specifications identify radial tires as 30 × 10.00R-14; the R-Spec lists AT30 × 10-14 GBC Dirt Commander 2.0. Match the full trim and year before ordering.
“Wolverine tire size” is too broad for one answer. RMAX2, RMAX4, RMAX4 Compact, X2 850 and X4 850 are different applications. This guide provides verified 2026 RMAX examples and a fitment worksheet; it does not approve a universal tire or wheel package across the Wolverine family.

| RMAX2 1000 XT-R | 30 × 10.00R-14 | 30 × 10.00R-14 | Maxxis Carnivore |
| RMAX2 1000 Sport | 30 × 10.00R-14 | 30 × 10.00R-14 | GBC Terra Master |
| RMAX2 1000 R-Spec | AT30 × 10-14 | AT30 × 10-14 | GBC Dirt Commander 2.0 |

Read all parts of the sidewall label
In a 30 × 10.00R-14 size, 30 is nominal overall tire diameter in inches, 10.00 is nominal section width, R identifies radial construction and 14 is the wheel diameter. Nominal size does not guarantee identical inflated diameter, width, mass or tread shape across tire products.
Do not silently add an R to a specification that does not show it. Confirm construction, load capability and approved wheel-width range with the tire manufacturer and the actual sidewall. Our UTV tire-label guide explains why tire diameter and wheel diameter are different measurements.
A 64-inch stance is not a 64-inch overall width
Yamaha lists a 64-inch stance for the 2026 RMAX2 examples, but overall width is 66.1 inches. The full-length RMAX4 XT-R lists a 64-inch stance and 66.7-inch overall width. Those are explicitly different fields on the specification pages. Using stance as the vehicle’s maximum width can produce a bad gate or trailer decision.
For fitment and transport, measure the widest actual point with the delivered tires and accessories. A change in wheel offset can alter the footprint even if the tire sidewall still says 30 × 10-14. Trail-access rules also have their own definitions; check the current land-manager requirements rather than equating a marketing class with permission.

Same-size front and rear tires do not settle the spare-wheel question
The verified table shows a square tire-size layout. It does not, by itself, prove that every complete wheel can be moved to every corner or that an aftermarket spare clears every brake and hub. Check the exact wheel part number, bolt pattern, offset, center opening, hardware and approved application.
If a shop proposes one spare assembly, ask it to document those checks for your full model code. Include the spare and carrier in the vehicle’s load calculation. A nominal tire-size match is only the beginning of that process, not a universal fitment certificate.
Before moving to a larger tire
- Identify the exact factory combination from the year/trim specification, owner’s manual and vehicle label. Note any prior owner’s modifications.
- Obtain tire and wheel application details, including actual inflated dimensions and load requirements.
- Check approved clearance through steering and suspension movement, including fenders, lines and any installed accessories. Have a qualified shop assess changes where needed.
- Review the effect on operating instructions, calibration, transport width and the manufacturer’s approved configuration before purchase.
This guide does not supply a universal replacement pressure, torque setting or “largest tire without a lift.” Those values depend on the exact vehicle and combination. The sidewall’s maximum pressure is not a substitute for Yamaha’s operating recommendation. Read the larger-tire decision guide for the complete set of questions.
An ordering note you can send to a tire shop
Write: model year; full Yamaha model and trim; two-, four- or Compact configuration; existing tire label at each axle; wheel markings; all relevant modifications; intended use; and whether you need tires only or a complete wheel assembly. Ask the seller to confirm the application and exclusions in writing. That short record is more useful than ordering a product advertised simply as “Wolverine 30-inch tires.”
